Having what you want, becoming who you want to be and living the life you want to live really is as easy as A - B - C!
The epitome of how to squeeze the most out of life is to make the best of every interaction, the most of every situation and play the cards we have been dealt. In order to do this we have to understand it is not what happens to us but how we respond to what happens to us…good or bad, which will determine our ultimate results in life!
We can have negative reactions to good experiences or bad experiences, we can have good reactions to bad experiences or good experiences. Each choice either takes us closer to our goal, equips us with a stronger resolve, a bit more wisdom and some new skills or; nudges us off course from our intended end destination!
However despite our emotional collapses we can always pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and get back on track. It is NEVER too late.
Earl Nightingale teaches us that how people treat us is a reflection of how we treat them…our attitude. We have heard that attitude determines altitude. William James implores us that we can alter our lives by altering our attitude of mind.
Some very deep and very straight forward lessons, but these can seem so challenging to live by. I have previously often let my attitude be determined by the experiences and opinions of others, I have let society’s trends dictate my attitude for the day and then I choose my attitudes based on what “they” are doing or not doing. This is a lesson in self-destruct 101!
It was when my attitude softened, became adapted to the abundance mind-set and started to enjoy the success of others that I realised I had moved my attitude from a competitive spirit to a creative spirit and this is when change became immense.
No more did the external circumstances and environment effect my internal attitude, but the internal good attitude drove me through the negative external experiences!
You can experience the same…I would highly recommend it!
Belief was often determined by my attitude as I went through a very long stage in life that, I did not believe I could have more, be more and do more. This was a catalyst in steering my attitude towards the negative…when I experienced failures I took a “woe is me” approach to everything and everyone else’s results.
It was through constant study of the good stuff and really expanding my awareness that my belief gradually followed.
“All thing are possible to him who believes”
Having heard that passage form many years I did not truly understand its awesome value until I checked my beliefs and decided that I wanted to believe in: being successful, experience abundance and realising an ever increasing level of my potential.
Understand that belief is the mental, spiritual and emotional equivalent of gas in the tank.
With an empty tank we are not going to get far let alone get the vehicle started!
This is the wonderful combination of a fantastic attitude mix liberally with a strengthened belief!
My confidence began to grow and to take me to new experiences which galvanised my resolve and mental capabilities.
For it was in changing the way I looked at experiences, not changing the experiences that allowed me to grow in confidence.
